The man who shot at the military commissar of Ust-Ilimsk was arrested for two months
Against 25-year-old Ruslan Zinin, a criminal case has been initiated on encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer and illegal possession of weapons. He faces a sentence of up to life imprisonment
Ruslan Zinin, who on September 26 opened fire at the military commissariat in Ust-Ilimsk and seriously wounded commissar Alexander Eliseev , was arrested for two months, until November 26. This was reported to RBC in the city court.
Zinin is 25 years old. A criminal case has been initiated against him for encroachment on the life of a law enforcement officer (Article 317 of the Criminal Code, punishable by imprisonment up to life) and illegal possession of weapons (Article 222, up to five years in prison).
Zinin's mother explained the motives for the crime by the fact that her son was very worried about the summons to the draft board, which his best friend, who did not serve in the army, received. Where her son got the weapon from, she could not say. The National Guard reported that Zinin does not have a weapon permit and he does not appear to be the owner of the seized sawn-off shotgun.
Wounded by Zinin, military commissar Alexander Eliseev has been in office since November 2010. He was wounded in the chest and lower back, he was hospitalized in serious condition.
After the shooting, the governor of the Irkutsk region Igor Kobzev instructed to strengthen security measures in the military registration and enlistment offices.
